How can digital transformation improve the Southern African public sector?
In this volume, scholars from across Africa analyze how new technologies are enabling public institutions to engage in clean governance and deliver services in a more transparent, convenient, and sustainable way. They examine digital initiatives such as electronic government platforms, cybersecurity and regulatory frameworks of digital initiatives, and the impact of these initiatives on inclusivity, government performance, citizen engagement, and the economy.
In Southern African countries, limited internet connectivity, underdeveloped information communication technology infrastructure, and high cybersecurity risk challenges remain, but this volume speaks to these challenges and encourages governments in Southern African countries to prioritize investing in addressing these challenges to ensure seamless interaction between the government and citizens, as a critical element of sustainable development.
