This book intends to provide a comprehensive and detailed overview of available surgical and non-surgical techniques for periorbital rejuvenation. The book opens by concise discussion on periorbital anatomy, aging physiology, prevention and protection. Dr. Bahram Eshraghi (MD, Ophthalmology, Oculoplastic Surgery) graduated from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran, in 2007, earning first rank in the Ophthalmology Board Exam of the Iranian Society of Ophthalmology (IRSO). He began his academic career as a faculty member at Tehran University, specializing in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and later served on the faculty at Esfahan University of Medical Sciences. He currently serves as Professor of Ophthalmology and Oculoplastic Surgeon at the The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, San Antonio, Texas, USA.
Dr. Eshraghi has authored over 90 peer-reviewed publications, including original research articles, case reports, and book chapters. He has contributed to several books and delivered numerous national and international lectures in ocular plastic and reconstructive surgery. His clinical expertise encompasses orbital and eyelid surgery, reconstructive procedures, and cosmetic ophthalmology.
He has received multiple awards and recognitions for his contributions to ophthalmology, including the International Council Scholarship from the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) in 2008, Best Book Author at the Iran Ophthalmology Festival in 2013 and 2023, and Best Book Chapter in 2022.
In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Eshraghi has held leadership roles, including serving as a member of the Board of Directors for Oculoplastics of the Iranian Society of Ophthalmology since 2014.
Dr. Mohsen Pourazizi is an ophthalmologist and cornea specialist who graduated from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. He serves as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Consultant Ophthalmologist at Feiz Eye Hospital, Iran.
Dr. Pourazizi has authored more than 160 peer-reviewed international publications and has presented at national and international scientific meetings. His academic achievements include receiving the Presidential Award as a National Exemplary Medical (2013), being recognized as a Young Ophthalmology Scholar of Iran, and receiving the International Council of Ophthalmology Fellowship Grant (2019). He has also been honored at the 29th Razi Festival of Medical Sciences Research and Technology and was awarded the 62nd Alborz Prize in the Elite Category in Iran.
