The book provides a practical and comprehensive overview of the challenges encountered in modern orthopaedic practice. Covering complications related to arthroscopy, joint replacement, spine surgery, pediatric orthopaedics, pelvic and acetabular surgery, and upper and lower limb trauma procedures, it focuses on the prevention, early recognition, and effective management of adverse outcomes. Chapters on postoperative rehabilitation and medicolegal issues further broaden its clinical relevance and utility.
Written for postgraduate trainees and practicing orthopaedic surgeons, the book combines evidence-based knowledge with practical surgical experience. It highlights key aspects of preoperative planning, intraoperative decision-making, technical nuances, and postoperative care, while emphasizing tips, tricks, and common pitfalls that can influence surgical outcomes. By addressing complications in a structured and clinically focused manner, the text helps readers develop strategies for safer surgery and improved patient care.
Distinguished by its complication-oriented approach, this book goes beyond standard procedural descriptions to provide valuable insights into managing difficult situations and minimizing long-term sequelae.
