The Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Advanced Materials for Sustainable Innovation (IC-AMSI 2026) present a comprehensive compilation of scholarly contributions featured during the conference held on 3rd–4th February 2026 at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies–Technical Campus, New Delhi.

The combined efforts of scholars, researchers, and business professionals dedicated to developing novel and sustainable material solutions are reflected in this volume. It highlights current materials science research tackling urgent global issues and encapsulates the spirit of interdisciplinary cooperation.

Innovations in reinforced materials for improved performance, advanced research on graphene and its multifunctional applications, biodegradable materials that promote environmental sustainability, and the study of rare earth materials crucial for contemporary technologies are just a few of the conference's major themes. Nanomaterials are also given a lot of attention, emphasizing their revolutionary potential in sectors like electronics, energy, and healthcare.

The inclusion of research papers on friction stir welding of various materials, which reflect improvements in manufacturing and joining technologies, is one of the proceedings' main highlights. Significant contributions to environmental sustainability and energy security are also included in the volume, which highlights the research's worldwide applicability.

Significantly, the book contains papers on policy frameworks that provide important insights into strategic, governance, and regulatory approaches that promote the creation, uptake, and sustainable application of advanced materials. These contributions highlight the need for integrated solutions by bridging the gap between scientific innovation and policymaking.

This volume is an invaluable tool for scholars, professionals, and legislators, offering information on state-of-the-art advancements, useful applications, and potential future paths in the field of advanced materials for sustainable innovation.
