This book compiles peer-reviewed articles presented at the 1st International Conference and Exhibition on Advanced Materials and Structures (ICEAMS‑2025), held in Hyderabad, India, from 2 to 5 July 2025. Centered on the conference theme “Innovations in Advanced Materials and Structures-Innovations, Technologies and way forward” the volume explores diverse aspects of materials design, fabrication, characterization, and testing. The contributions focus on advanced materials and structural systems, including polymer matrix composites, metal matrix composites, ceramic matrix composites, and carbon/carbon composites. Special emphasis is placed on applications addressing the needs of the aerospace, defense, housing and infrastructure, automotive, and other industrial sectors.
Prof. Budaraju Srinivasa Murty is a distinguished metallurgical engineer and academic leader, currently serving as the director of the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) since August 2019. He completed his master's and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, in 1992. His research interests include nano-crystalline materials, high-entropy alloys, bulk metallic glasses, thermodynamics and kinetics of phase transformations, transmission electron microscopy, and atom probe tomography.
