It also considers emerging industrial applications and future directions for the development and use of nanocellulose in sustainable materials and technologies.

Dr Mohd Shabbir is an assistant professor at the Department of Applied Sciences, School of Engineering and Technology, CGC University, India. Before this, he had been a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Chemical Engineering and Pharmacy, Wuhan Institute of Technology, Wuhan, China. He worked there on regenerated cellulose materials for environmental remediation, sensing, and biomedical applications. He has also worked as an Assistant Professor at Sanskriti University, Mathura, NIET, and GLBITM, Greater Noida. He earned his doctorate in the application of natural dyes to textiles from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India, in 2017, and has published more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific papers, book chapters, and edited books. His current research interests include biopolymers, cellulose materials, biomaterials for adsorption and catalysis, wastewater treatment, and functional textiles.

 

Dr. Mohammad Shahid, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation, India. Before joining KLEF, he worked at various esteemed institutions, including Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi; Soochow University, China; the University of Glasgow, UK; Henan University, China; and the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. He earned his Master's degree in Chemistry from Shibli National College, Azamgarh, in 2006 and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, in 2014. Dr. Shahid has received several prestigious fellowships to support his research, including grants from the UGC, India, the China Postdoctoral Fellowship, the EU Marie Curie Fellowship, and the Dr. D. S. Kothari Fellowship. He has contributed to over 50 scientific publications, with ~ 4900 citations and an h-index of 28. He has authored and edited multiple books with leading international publishers, including Springer, Wiley, CRC Press/Taylor & Francis, and Elsevier, and holds 5 published patents. His research interests encompass sustainable textile chemistry, natural dyes and colorants, functional and smart textile finishing, biomaterials, green chemistry, and surface functionalization of fibres.
