Professor Lazaros Mavromatidis is Architect–Engineer, Ph.D., HDR, and Full Professor of Architectural Science and Technology at École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture Paris-Malaquais - Univesité Paris Sciences et Lettres. His research operates at the intersection of applied and constructal thermodynamics, architectural theory, and design, advancing a transdisciplinary understanding of architecture as a dynamic system shaped by flows of energy, matter, and information. He earned his degree from the National Technical University of Athens and completed a joint Ph.D. at INSA Lyon and ENTPE. He obtained the HDR from the prestigious Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers of Paris in 2021. His work is widely published and cited across thermodynamics, building science, and architectural research.
