Ranjita Shegokar holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Technology from SNDT University, India, and has completed PostDoctoral research at the Free University of Berlin, Germany, specializing in Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics, and NutriCosmetics. She has extensive experience in R&D leadership roles at various multinational German pharmaceutical companies. Currently, she serves as the Chief Pharma Innovation Officer (CPO) at DiHeSys GmbH, Germany. She has authored numerous research articles, book chapters and has presented her work at many national and international conferences. She has filed multiple patent applications in the areas of drug delivery, drug-device combinations, drug targeting and has edited several influential books on pharmaceutical nanotechnology and drug delivery systems. Dr. Ranjita’s research excellence has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the 2025 International FIP Distinguished Pharmaceutical Science Award, the German Innovation Award (2022), and twice the German Medical Award (2025/2023). She has also served on the jury panel for various EU grants and awards, including the Women in Pharma Awards 2025, which honor excellence in the pharmaceutical industry. Her research interests include polymeric nanoparticles, nanocrystals, lipid nanoparticles (SLNs/NLCs), nanoemulsions, cancer drug targeting, oral solid dosage forms (OSDFs), and the role of excipients in delivery systems. Yashwant Pathak received his Master’s and PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Nagpur University, India. He completed postdoctoral training under prominent professors such as Gregory Gregoriadis at the Royal Free Hospital in London, Simon Benita at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Robert Levy at the University of Michigan, USA. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University, Surabaya, Indonesia. Currently, he is a tenured professor at the Taneja College of Pharmacy, University of South Florida, Tampa, USA. Throughout his career, he has received numerous national and international awards, including the four Outstanding Faculty Award and the Global Achievement Engagement Award, excellent researcher at USF. In 2021, he was honored as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (FAAAS). Dr. Pathak has an extensive publication record with over 400 research articles, reviews, and book chapters. He has also edited more than 90 books in fields such as nanotechnology, drug delivery, nutraceuticals, conflict management, and cultural studies.
