This book explores fruitful ways of integrating philosophy of science and epistemology by promoting dialogues between philosophers of science and epistemologists. It develops novel ways to inform epistemology by incorporating the discussion in the philosophy of science and revisits some central issues in the philosophy of science by introducing the notions and methods in epistemology. The book also explores the feminist approach to philosophy of science and epistemology. Moreover, it assesses the role of a priori in science and investigates the nature of epistemic activities in science (e.g. inference, confirmation, and understanding). The book maintains that philosophy of science and epistemology can be beneficial from each other.
