This textbook provides a comprehensive, systematic text on minimally invasive surgery specifically for the diabetic foot. The text provides an evidence-based description of the current techniques available, outlining all areas of the foot (forefoot, midfoot, hindfoot, ankle, lower leg) and all the different types of techniques (osteotomies, soft tissue procedures, Charcot management, fusions, fracture management and vascular techniques), providing the contemporary outcome data on each. This allows the reader to integrate minimally invasive techniques into their practice, enabling the benefits of such techniques for their patients.
Minimally Invasive Diabetic Foot Surgery is structured so that each chapter is authored by a recognised expert in the field, providing a combination of expert opinion along with evidence-based data. The book is extensively illustrated, allowing the reader to better understand the techniques described, and facilitating translation into clinical practice. The book is intended to be a valuable information source for an orthopaedic surgeon, podiatrist or vascular surgeon with a practice in diabetic foot care. It should also serve as a useful resource for medical students, orthopaedic trainees, podiatry trainees and vascular trainees, learning about diabetic foot care.
