Global energy investment decisions are crucial for energy production, distribution, and consumption worldwide. These investments play a critical role in ensuring energy supply security, contributing to the diversification of energy sources and the continuity of supply. Renewable energy investments, in particular, enhance energy supply security due to their unlimited and environmentally sustainable nature. Energy investments also support economic growth and job creation. The renewable energy sector, especially, is a young and rapidly growing area of employment. Such investments can bolster local and national economies. To achieve these benefits, various factors must be considered simultaneously.

The aim of this book is to identify the right energy policies for the sustainable economic development of countries. The book presents effective strategies for different types of energy. Key issues are examined, including selecting optimal locations for nuclear power plant installations, providing adequate government incentives to boost clean energy investments, and formulating policies to reduce energy dependence. By determining country-specific optimal energy policies, this book contributes to the achievement of the UN sustainable development goals (SDG)
