JATI K. SENGUPTA is Professor of Economics at the University of California Santa Barbara, USA. He has published fourteen research monographs and more than 330 research papers in leading academic journals. He has done extensive research in three areas: theory of economic efficiency, economics of uncertainty and the modern theory of economic growth with applications to India and the south east Asian countries.
