He is also the Coordinator, Center for Advanced Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Jadavpur University. He is the recipient of the University Grants Commission (UGC) (Government of India) research award 2009. He received the prestigious CJ Shishoo research award in 2016 from the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India.
