Sisir Kumar Nayak obtained his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University College of Engineering, Burla, India, in 1999. He then earned his master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, India, in 2003 and 2009, respectively. Dr. Nayak served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Division of Electromagnetics at the School of Electrical Engineering, Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at IIT Guwahati, India. His research interests include the integration of renewable energy sources with the grid, pulsed power systems, and high-voltage engineering. Additionally, Dr. Nayak serves as a reviewer for several IEEE Transactions and other journals.

Pankaj Kalita is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Energy Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and completed both his master’s and Ph.D. degrees at IIT Guwahati. Prior to his appointment at IIT Guwahati in 2015, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Energy at Tezpur University, Assam. With over 10 years of teaching experience and 16 years of research experience in renewable energy, he has published more than 100 research articles in reputable journals and conferences and has co-edited three books. He has successfully executed numerous research and consultancy projects in clean energy technologies. His current research areas include solar energy conversion, gasification, biochemical conversion, energy management, energy storage, and the integration of renewable energy for remote electrification.

Papul Changmai received his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Jorhat Engineering College, Jorhat, India, in 2008, and earned his Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh, India, in 2020. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Assam Don Bosco University in Guwahati, India. His research interests include solar photovoltaic energy and the grid integration of renewable energy. Dr. Changmai also serves as a reviewer for several journals and magazines published by reputable publishers. He has numerous international publications, including articles in high-impact-factor SCI journals, along with several Indian patents. He has completed various high-value research and consultancy projects and was honored with the prestigious National Technical Teacher Award in 2022 by the Government of India.
