The research and praxis at the core of this volume are grounded in language teaching constructs and aligned with UN SDG 4, focusing on building 21st-century employable skills for both students and teachers. This book is particularly valuable for academics and students, addressing the scarcity of shared experiences in teaching this essential 21st-century skill. It navigates complex language policies that promote the development of both regional languages and English within multilingual university settings. By exploring various facets of multilingualism, the book proves to be an invaluable academic resource. It offers rich insights to a global audience interested in shaping policies related to language, academia, and national development. As an essential resource for teacher educators, teachers, and students, this book aims to transform learning environments, enhance educator competencies, and empower youth with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to be catalysts of change.

Dr Veena Kapur is a Professor (retired) with over four decades of teaching experience at the University of Delhi.
