Dr. Shray Pathak is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Ropar, Punjab, India. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Tech from IIT Roorkee and a B.Tech from NIT Kurukshetra from the Department of Civil Engineering. His research spans hydrology, remote sensing, GIS, urban sustainability, and climate change, with 2.5 years of postdoctoral experience in urban flood risk assessment. He has over 47 publications, authored a two-volume book with Springer, and currently serves as lead editor for Springer and Elsevier titles. He received the 2022 Best Practice Oriented Paper Award from ASCE.
Dr. Raheena M. is an Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering at IIT Ropar, specializing in geotechnical engineering. She holds a Ph.D. and M.Tech from IIT Madras and a B.Tech from NIT Tiruchirappalli from the Department of Civil Engineering. Her research expertise lies in the characterization and improvement of challenging soil types, particularly expansive and soft clays. She has made significant contributions in the areas of soil stabilization using nanomaterials, bio-cementation techniques, and the development of sustainable geosynthetics for geotechnical applications. Her work emphasizes innovative and eco-friendly approaches to ground improvement and infrastructure resilience. She has led several nationally funded projects on landslide modeling and eco-friendly ground improvement, with total funding exceeding ₹2.5 crores.
Dr. Sujata Goswami is a geoscientist and AI expert with a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences and a background in computer science. She has worked with NASA JPL, Oak Ridge National Lab, and currently leads software development at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Her expertise includes scientific data systems, AI/ML for geosciences, metadata automation, and FAIR data principles. A member of the MLCommons AI Consortium, she has contributed to AI safety benchmarking and published in top venues like IEEE and NeurIPS. Recognized with the NASA Honors Award, Dr. Goswami blends Earth science with cutting-edge computing to deliver impactful, scalable solutions for global scientific communities.
