Resources Circular System and Industrial Symbiosis

Jingzeng Yang

Technology & Engineering / Environmental / Waste Management

This book proposes an innovative industrial system. It systematically expounds the practical significance, construction concepts, model framework, and production factor combinations of resource circulation and puts forward innovative processes and mathematical expressions. Based on industrial integration, factor consolidation, and collaborative cooperation, through comprehensive research, it systematically explores the construction and optimization of the resource circulation system. Combining the practical experience of China’s localized construction, this book also comprehensively introduces successful engineering cases in multiple fields and shares relevant knowledge on the construction of low-carbon circular parks, providing theoretical and practical support for industrial metabolic circulation and sustainable development. This book is suitable for theoretical workers, enterprise managers, technical experts, policy makers, circular economy project designers and investors, and can also be used as a professional reference book for undergraduates and postgraduates majoring in industrial economics, resource recycling, environmental engineering, logistics, and so on.

Professor Jingzeng Yang graduated from Tsinghua University and is currently a professor and researcher at China Electronic Engineering Design Institute Co., Ltd. (CEEDI). He serves as an adjunct professor at Xiamen University and Shanghai Second Polytechnic University and is also a doctoral supervisor at the School of Economics and Management, China University of Geosciences (Beijing). His research focuses on environmental protection and comprehensive utilization of resources, and he pioneered the theory of “Resource Recycling Systems and Industrial Development.” This theory employs systems engineering methods to analyze relevant factors, promote industrial integration, eliminate redundant links, reduce costs, and improve efficiency, thereby contributing to the achievement of low-carbon development goals. This innovative model fundamentally resolves the contradiction between pollution and development while significantly enhancing corporate competitiveness. The multiple engineering projects he has led and participated in have generated significant economic, environmental, and social benefits.
