This book offers a thorough and critical examination of the North-South Dialogue's accomplishments, history, and current issues, as well as how it connects to the ideas of development and decent employment. This focus aligns closely with SDG 8, which promotes decent work and sustainable economic growth. Additionally, it examines how the divergent viewpoints and agendas of the North and the South impact the dialogue's conclusions and ramifications. This book also looks at how the North-South Dialogue is doing now, where it is headed, and how it may help with challenges like poverty, environmental sustainability, and global inequality. In doing so, research in the book provides ideas and suggestions for enhancing the North-South Dialogue's efficacy and equity, as well as how it might help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.

Syamlal G.S. is a member of the Faculty of Social Science and Board of Studies, University of Kerala, India. With more than a decade of experience in project processing, administration, and implementation, he has contributed to a wide range of development initiatives, including projects under the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) – Global Environment Facility (GEF). He has played a key role in preparing the Tourism Master Plan for the Government of Kerala and has collaborated with the National Centre for Earth Science Studies (NCESS). He has served as Consultant (Monitoring & Evaluation) with the National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation under the Ministry of Minority Affairs, and as a Resource Person for the Securities and Exchange Board of India. He also serves as an Associate Professor of Economics at Mahatma Gandhi College, affiliated with the University of Kerala, India.

Hotniar Siringoringo is a professor in Gunadarma University, Jakarta Indonesia. She teaches undergraduate students from Industrial Engineering and Management program, postgraduate students from the Information System Management program, and also students of Economics.
