The Legacy of China

Converging History, Culture and Philosophy

Keping Wang

Philosophy / General

This book examines China’s essential legacy through a trinity structure: historical regimes, cultural milestones, and philosophical trends. It approaches Chinese history through the lens of influential dynasties, analyzing their continuous impact from antiquity to the present. The comprehensive coverage explores multiple dimensions including political, social, artistic, literary, and aesthetic spheres. The author aims to rediscover Chinese heritage with practical relevance to contemporary human conditions, offering fresh perspectives on selected elements of China’s legacy. These include the Silk Road renaissance, ecumenic pursuit’s longevity, China’s mixed political model, and the essence of Chinese aesthetics. By examining how past achievements can inform present circumstances, this book provides readers with a nuanced understanding of China’s historical and cultural contributions while considering their modern applications and significance in today’s global context.
