Shortlisted for a Fulbright scholarship in 2018, Samantha instead continued her career in the non-profit sector and the life science industry. Currently, Samantha works with healthcare-related organisations to develop sustainable solutions and enhance environmental practices to improve One health outcomes. She currently serves as the Programme Manager for a flagship One Health Programme focusing on camels in the Middle East and supports the organisation Legal Atlas to combat wildlife crime.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDr. Bernard Faye\u003c\/strong\u003e is a veterinarian and renowned camel expert with a career spanning over four decades. He earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1974, then a PhD in 1995, and later specialized in animal nutrition, epidemiology, and endocrinology. Dr. Faye has worked in more than 50 countries, focusing on camel research, development, and health. He was consultant for FAO in different camel countries (Saudi Arabiaé, Oman, Morocco, Mauritania, Chad) and emeritus expert at CIRAD (France). He is a founding member of ISOCARD (International Society of Camelid Research and Development) and has authored over 600 scientific papers, 56 books and chapters in book, and numerous technical reports. His expertise includes camel clinical biochemistry, mineral metabolism, and disease epidemiology, contributing significantly to the global understanding of camelid sciences. \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDr. Pamela Burger\u003c\/strong\u003e is a veterinarian and population geneticist and interested in the evolutionary history and immune genetic response of domestic animals and their wild relatives to their environments.
