Dr. Waleed Khalil Ahmed is an associate professor at UAE University, specializing in additive manufacturing, composite materials, sustainability, and recycling. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and has extensive experience in manufacturing and quality control. He later earned an M.Sc. in Applied Mechanics and a Ph.D. in collaboration with the University of Nottingham. Dr. Ahmed has been a faculty member at UAE University, contributing to the Engineering Requirements Unit and the Mechanical Engineering Department. Received more than 40 granted US patents, and published more than 200 journal and conference papers. His work has been recognized with multiple UAEU Chancellor Innovation Awards and the Chancellor's Award for Institutional Excellence. He has also received the AUA Fellowship Award for research at leading institutions. His research focuses on advanced manufacturing, sustainability, and innovative engineering solutions, driving progress in the field.

Dr. Lindita Bande is an expert in architecture, urban design, and sustainable construction. She earned her Ph.D. from Politecnico di Milano (2013–2017), focusing on urban shading devices for heat island mitigation in Abu Dhabi. She holds Master’s degrees in Project Management (2012–2013) and Sustainable Architecture (2009–2010), specializing in construction innovation and energy-efficient buildings. Her bachelor’s and master’s (First Level) in Architecture (2003–2008) from Polytechnic University of Tirana explored urban space revaluation and innovative facade design. Dr. Bande’s research integrates climate-responsive architecture, sustainability, and urban resilience. She is passionate about sustainable urban development, environmental strategies, and smart city solutions. Her work contributes to advancing green building technologies and improving urban environments.

Dr. Essam Zaneldin is an expert in Construction Engineering and Management. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo, Canada, in 2000. He is a professional engineer and an associate professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UAE University, where he is also the coordinator of the Master of Engineering Management Program. Dr. Zaneldin has more than 13 years of industrial experience in design, construction supervision, and project management of large-scale projects in North America and the Middle East. His research covers design coordination and change management, constructability, risk management, and simulation of design and construction operations. Dr. Zaneldin has published extensively on engineering education, change management, and automation in construction. His work integrates digital transformation, AI-driven decision-making, and sustainability in construction.
