The book presents a comprehensive collection of peer‑reviewed research papers and technical contributions from the FLEX‑EV 2025 conference. The proceedings cover a broad spectrum of topics, including electric vehicle architectures, power electronics, energy storage and battery management systems, charging infrastructure, smart grids, renewable energy integration, control and optimization techniques, and emerging materials and components. Special emphasis is placed on flexibility—across vehicle design, energy management, manufacturing, and deployment—to enable scalable, resilient, and efficient e‑mobility solutions. It highlights current advances as well as future research directions that support sustainable transport, decarbonization goals, and next‑generation mobility ecosystems. This book serves as a valuable reference for researchers, engineers, policymakers, and postgraduate students working in electric vehicles, power systems, energy technologies, and intelligent transportation systems.

Sunil Kumar Goyal has over 25 years of experience spanning teaching, research, and academic administration. He has published numerous research articles in high‑repute international journals and conferences and serves as a regular reviewer for several high‑impact journals. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Manipal University, Jaipur. His research interests include induction generators for renewable energy generation (both standalone and grid‑connected), economic operation of power systems, electricity markets, optimization techniques, and electric vehicle technologies.

Sanyog Rawat is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at the Central University of Rajasthan, Kishangarh, Ajmer, India. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering, an M.Tech. in Microwave Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Planar Antennas. With nearly 21 years of teaching and research experience, he has published over 120 research papers in reputed journals, conferences, and book chapters. He has supervised eight Ph.D. scholars and currently mentors three more. His research interests include RF and microwave devices, microstrip and smart antennas, and reconfigurable antenna technologies.

Hari Om Bansal received his B.E. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rajasthan in 1998, followed by an M.E. in Power Systems from MREC, Jaipur, in 2000, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from BITS Pilani in 2005. He currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Over the past two decades, he has made significant contributions to teaching, research, and institutional development. He has supervised five Ph.D. theses and completed two government‑funded research projects. He has published more than 80 research papers in reputable journals and conferences. His research interests include power quality, renewable energy integration, hybrid electric vehicles, battery management systems, and the application of artificial intelligence techniques in these domains.

Jaume Anguera received his Ph.D. in Telecommunications and is an Associate Professor at Universitat Ramon Llull, Barcelona, Spain, as well as the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Ignion. He has made significant contributions to the field of microstrip fractal‑shaped antennas and played a pivotal role in advancing antenna technologies during his tenure at Fractus, where he served as Research and Development Manager. At Fractus, he led major projects involving base station antennas, automotive applications, and mobile device antennas. Dr. Anguera holds over 180 granted patents and has authored numerous journal articles, conference papers, and books. He is best known for inventing antenna booster technology, which is commercially recognized as Virtual Antenna® technology—which has been widely adopted worldwide to enable wireless connectivity in IoT devices.
