Volkan Dayan graduated from Isparta Gürkan High School in 1998. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Uludağ University. He completed his master’s degree in Accounting and Finance at Celal Bayar University in 2006, with a thesis titled “Risk Management Evolutions at TurkDEX. Basel II Standards and Case Studies”. He earned his PhD in Business Administration from Celal Bayar University, completing his doctoral studies in 2010 with a dissertation titled “Credit Risk Management in Turkish Banks and Credit Risk Measurement Models within the Framework of New Regulations.” Following his doctoral studies, he pursued postdoctoral research at the European Scientific Institute, University of La Laguna (Tenerife, Spain), which he completed in 2022. Dr. Dayan has published numerous articles and book chapters in internationally indexed journals and book series. He has held academic positions at Muğla University (2009), and Trakya University, where he has been serving since 2013. He was appointed Associate Professor in 2018 and currently works at the Uzunköprü School of Applied Sciences, Trakya University. Prior to his academic career, he worked at a financial consulting company.
