Jeyasakthy Saniasiaya is an Associate Professor and Consultant Paediatric Otorhinolaryngologist at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. She also serves as the Head of the Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology Unit at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre. She obtained her postgraduate degree with distinction from Universiti Sains Malaysia, where she was awarded the Gold Medal for academic excellence. She is a Fellow of the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery since 2019.
She completed a Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology Clinical Fellowship at Starship Children’s Hospital, New Zealand, and advanced training in Paediatric Audiovestibular Medicine at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, United Kingdom. Her clinical and research interests include paediatric airway disorders, swallowing and aerodigestive conditions, and audiovestibular function.
Dr. Jeyasakthy is currently pursuing her Ph.D. and has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications. She serves as an Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, ENT Journal, and as an Academic Editor for PLOS ONE. She is also the founder of the first Paediatric Saliva Control Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and the Paediatric Aerodigestive Service at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, underscoring her leadership in pioneering innovative, patient-centred care for children.
