Dr. Johan Englund is a senior researcher at the Asia Program in the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI) in Stockholm, Sweden. Prior to joining FOI, he obtained his Ph.D. in International Relations from the City University of Hong Kong. In 2024, he was a visiting researcher at the Institute of International Relations in Taipei. He also has a background from serving as a desk officer at the Swedish Government Offices.
