His interests include nitrogen fixation, plant-microbe interactions, and microbial stress management. She earned her Ph.D. in Microbiology from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, Punjab, India, and completed two postdoctoral programs in China. She brings over 15 years of expertise in agriculture microbiology, with a strong research focus on diazotrophic plant growth–promoting microorganisms and their pivotal role in suppressing plant pathogens. She has published numerous high-quality research papers in this field. Her research focuses on biological nitrogen fixation, PGPR, endophytes, and molecular plant-microbe interactions.
