He received his PhD degree in Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2015. His research interests include the theoretical research on project management, project planning and control, project portfolio management, and program optimization.  He has led over 30 provincial and ministerial-level projects, and has received support from Shaanxi Province 'Special Support Program' Young Top Talent, Shaanxi Province Young Science and Technology Star, Outstanding Young Talent of Shaanxi Universities. He has received the Second Prize of Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences of Shaanxi Province and other provincial and ministerial awards, and has published more than 80 papers in SSCI, SCI, EI, CSSCI, and Management A-level Journals recognized by the Ministry of Education. \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eDr. Patrick X.W. Zou is a Professor in Engineering Management at Chang’an University. He has been listed among the \"Top 2% Global Scholars\" in the last five consecutive years. Graduated with  PhD from The University of New South Wales in Australia, Professor Zou has been conducting research in complex engineering safety management, risk management, and energy-saving management, involving mixed research methodologies. He had served as the 10th President of the Chinese Research Institute of Construction Management (CRIOCM, 2023 - 2025), An Associate Editor of Safety Science, and An Editor of International Journal of Construction Management. He has published several research-based books, including Complex Engineering Intrinsic Safety (in Chinese) , Research Methodology and Strategy: Theory and Practice, Strategic Safety Management in Construction and Engineering, and 100+ journal papers, with 13000+ citations. He has led research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and has won more than 10 academic awards, including the Mao-Yishen Science and Technology Award, Chartered Institution of Building (CIOB) International Innovation and Research ICPMA Award and the EMERALD Literati Network of Excellence Outstanding Paper Award, UNSW Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Teaching Excellence.  \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eThe corresponding editor Sheng XU is an Associate Professor and doctoral supervisor in Chang’an University, China. She received her PhD degree in Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2014. She has led 7 provincial and ministerial-level projects and published more than 30 papers in SCI and SSCI journals. She is the Secretariat of The Chinese Research Institution of Construction Management. \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eDr. Hongling Guo is an Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Construction Management, and Deputy Director of Construction Safety Research Center at Tsinghua University, China. He graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China, then worked as a researcher and visiting lecturer at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University for three years. In 2011, he started as an associate professor at Tsinghua University. His research areas include intelligent construction, virtual construction, digital construction safety management, and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
