This book includes peer reviewed articles from the 2nd International Conference on Nanotechnology and Materials Research - ICONMAR 2025, held at Penang in Malaysia. It highlights innovative research and developments in nanotechnology and materials science. The topics covered include advanced nanomaterials (graphene, carbon nanotubes, quantum dots), breakthroughs in synthesis, characterization, and fabrication techniques of nanomaterial, functional composite and sustainable materials. The proceedings serves as a vital platform for sharing groundbreaking research findings and innovations, promoting collaboration, sparking new ideas, and advancing the frontiers of scientific discovery.

Dr. Foo Kai Loong obtained his PhD in Nanoelectronics from the Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). His research primarily focuses on nanostructure fabrication and metal oxide semiconductor sensors, with a specialization in biosensing technologies. His work delves into the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, aiming to enhance sensor performance by exploring the intricate relationships between material properties, fabrication techniques, and sensor functionalities.

Dr. Adilah Ayoib is currently a senior lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Perlis holding a distinguished background in Nanobiotechnology Engineering (PhD), Microbiology (MSc), and Biotechnology (BSc with double minors in Microbiology and Agribusiness Management). Her research interests are in the areas of biosensors, microfluidics, nanomaterials, microbial fermentation, biosurfactants, and actinomycetes.

Dr. Tijjani Adam obtained his PhD in Nanoelectronics from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), where he explores further into the cutting-edge domain of nanotechnology. His research has significantly contributed to the development of nanomaterials, devices, and applications, establishing him as a leading figure in the field. Currently, he serves as a faculty member at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), a fellow at Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE) and Micro System Technology, Centre of Excellence (CoE) both at UniMAP.

Dr. Mohamad Faris Bin Mohamad Fathil is currently a senior lecturer and research fellow at the Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). He obtained his PhD in Nanoelectronic Engineering from UniMAP in 2017. His research interests include nanoelectronics, nanomaterials, and biosensors. He is also working on semiconductor device simulation for the application of charge sensing using TCAD. His current research focus is on fabrication of nanoelectronic sensors for environmental pollutions.

Dr. Nor Azizah binti Parmin is a Senior Lecturer and Research Fellow in Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Malaysia. Her research interests are in the areas of nanobiotechnology engineering and biosensor application, including early detection of Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV), hepatitis B, Human Papillomavirus (HPV) that cause cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, and COVID-19 detection that involves medical diagnosis by using specific biomarkers.
