His multidisciplinary research integrates sensing, computation, control, networking, and information systems into the civil infrastructure to create cyber-physical infrastructure systems. His research interests include smart cities, structural health monitoring, deployment of advanced sensors, energy harvesting, and civil engineering system informatics.
