Innovation and Development as a Key Success Factor in Nursing
The transformation of the working world is also clearly visible in hospitals, characterized by strong dynamics and rapid change. This book aims to inspire and motivate nursing professionals in the fields of nursing management, nursing science, nursing education, and quality management to rethink leadership models and put them into practice. The ideas of New Work and Shared Governance require a distinct mindset to establish a new culture of work and teamwork. More than ever, nursing professionals are called upon to contribute their experience and expertise and to take an active role in shaping care processes. Career pathways open up, and the attractiveness of the profession increases—especially in view of the urgent need for nursing staff—when exciting development opportunities in nursing are recognized and fostered. The experienced editorial team embraced the challenges of a changing work environment, identified new opportunities and perspectives for success, personally experienced the positive effects of a new leadership culture and mindset, and evaluated the resulting approaches.
