During his work at the German\r\nNational Research Center for Information Technology (GMD) Darmstadt, he\r\nspecialized in text analysis, parsing, discourse semantics, and robust anaphor\r\nresolution. He received his PhD at Goethe University for his research on\r\ncomputer-based text content analysis in the social sciences. Among his research interests and main fields of work are\r\nanaphora processing, information extraction, media content monitoring,\r\ninnovative natural language processing applications in general, and computer\r\nchess. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYannick Versley is a group leader in the Leibniz-ScienceCampus \"Empirical\r\nLinguistics and Computational Language Modeling\", a collaboration\r\nbetween the Institute for German Language (IDS) in Mannheim and the Institute\r\nfor Computational Linguistics at the University of\r\nHeidelberg. He studied\r\nComputer Science, Physics and Mathematics in Hamburg before doing a PhD in\r\nTübingen on the coreference resolution of definite\r\nnoun phrases in German newspaper text.
