His main research areas are the history of the Ancient Near East and the Achaemenid Empire, contacts between the Aegean World and the Ancient Near East, ancient historiography, and the comparative history of empires. \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eFlorian Posselt\u003c\/strong\u003e is doing his PhD in the field of Ancient History and Classical Studies at the Leopold-Franzens University of Innsbruck. His thesis addresses the origin of the ancient continental division into Europe, Asia and Africa. His research thematizes mental mapping and spatial perception in Antiquity, cultural contacts between the Ancient Near Eastern and the Classical World, Ancient Near Eastern royal inscriptions, Greek historiography and the history of research of Ancient Geography.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHilmar Klinkott\u003c\/strong\u003e is Professor of Ancient History at the Christian Albrecht University of Kiel.
