But it            was\nComputer Graphics which made possible the increasing\npopularity of  fractals several years ago, and long after\ntheir mathematical formulation.  The two disciplines are\ntightly linked.\nThe book contains the scientificcontributions presented\nin an international workshop in the \"Computer       Graphics\nCenter\" in Darmstadt, Germany. The\ntarget of the workshop was  to present the wide spectrum\nof interrelationships and interactions between Fractal\nGeometry and Computer Graphics. The topics vary                     from\nfundamentals and new theoretical results to various\napplications   and systems development.
