He is a member of the Istituto Lombardo–Accademia di Scienze e Lettere and has held research affiliations at the City University of New York. He is Scientific Director of the journal Il Politico and has published extensively on international and European economics, economic policy, and comparative economic systems.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eAxel Berkofsky is Associate Professor at the University of Pavia, Italy, and Co‑Director of the Asia Centre at ISPI. He is a Board Member of the European Japan Advanced Research Network (EJARN) and a Research Affiliate at the European Institute of Japanese Studies at the Stockholm School of Economics. Previously, he held research and policy positions at the European Policy Centre and the European Institute for Asian Studies in Brussels. His research focuses on Japanese and Chinese foreign and security policies, Asian security, and EU–Asia relations.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eGiuseppe Iannini is Professor Emeritus of Monetary Economics and Economic Policy at the University of Pavia. His research has focused on banking and financial systems in emerging economies, particularly China and Russia, and he has widely published on these topics. He has led several research projects at the University of Pavia’s Center for Asia‑African Studies and has taught at ISPI and in executive and master’s programs in Milan.
