Walter Leal Filho is a Senior Professor and Head of the Research and Transfer Centre "Sustainable Development and Climate Change Management” at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany, and Chair of Environment and Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. He is the initiator of the Word Sustainable Development Symposia (WSSD-U) series, and chairs the Inter-University Sustainable Development Research Programme. Professor Leal Filho has written, co-written, edited or co-edited more than 800 publications, including books, book chapters and papers in refereed journals.

Laís Viera Trevisan holds a PhD in Business Administration from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, completed in 2025. It included a three-year sandwich programme from 2022 to 2025 at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). She currently serves as a Research Associate at HAW Hamburg in Germany. Her research interests include sustainable development, climate change, sustainability in higher education, digital transformation, and smart campuses.

Artie Ng is the inaugural Dean of International Business University based in Toronto, Canada, where he founded the Centre for Sustainable Business that advocates interdisciplinary research and teaching of sustainability. He was the co-chair of the the 3rd Transatlantic Symposium on Sustainable Development in Higher Education held in Toronto, 2025. He has over 100 publications, including refereed journal papers with high-impact journals, case studies, edited books and book chapters. He is currently a Fellow with Balsillie School of International Affairs and an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his PhD from the Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow.

Ho Hon Leung received his doctoral degree in Sociology, McGill University, Canada. He is a professor of the Department of Sociology, Human Services & Crime Studies of SUNY Oneonta, New York, U.S.A. He is also an adjunct professor at International Business University, Toronto, Ontario, Canada and at Laurentian University, Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. His research interests include urban studies, architectural sociology, comparative aging ethnic relations, and immigration. His recent work focuses on a cross-cultural comparative project that examines cultural and heritage values of local time-honored restaurants that can stand the test of time. He is also a co-founder of 4C5M Studio which is an independent research center for the issues in living space and social life.
