He was president of the Italian Association of Neuro-Oncology (AINO). He is author of about 300 scientific publications, mainly in international journals with high impact factor and editor of several neurosurgical books.                                                                                                                                                                          Marialaura Del Basso De Caro is Professor of Pathological Anatomy at University of Naples Federico II Department of Advanced Biomedical Sciences. She is the author of more than 100 Communications to National and International Congresses, and of at least 170 scientific papers published in national and international journals, indexed on Index\/Medicus\/Journal Citation Index. She also contributed to 5 books with chapters mainly focused on the process of neoplastic progression and the search for new molecular markers prognostic and\/ or response to therapy after surgery for tumours of the Central Nervous System, tumors of the pituitary gland and neuroendocrine tumors. She was member of the European Multidisciplinary Group for Neuroendocrine Tumours (ENETS) as well as of the Naples Multidisciplinary Group of Central Nervous System tumors.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eSergio Corvino is a neurosurgeon with a PhD in Neurosciences.
