Dr. Anjali Sharma Kaushik
Dr. Anjali Sharma is currently serving as Associate Professor in the Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi and served as a Fellow of the Institute of Eminence, University of Delhi. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Delhi in 2013 for her thesis on low-temperature tin oxide thin film-based NO2 gas sensors. Her research focusses on gas sensor systems, metal oxide thin films, MEMS-based sensing devices, thermoelectric energy harvesters, and 2D materials such as MoS2 for advanced sensing applications. An accomplished researcher, she has published more than 100 papers in reputed international journals, including Sensors and Actuators B and Journal of Materials Chemistry, and has presented her work at nearly 60 national and international conferences. She has completed seven government-funded research projects and is currently leading two ongoing projects. Her innovations include two granted Indian patents, four published, and four filed patents. She has also contributed as Guest Editor for the Journal of Electronic Materials. A recognised Ph.D. supervisor, she actively mentors doctoral scholars while contributing significantly to academic and institutional development.
Dr. S. Shankar Subramanian
Dr. Shankar Subramanian is an Assistant Professor of Physics at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, University of Delhi, with over a decade of experience in advanced functional materials and clean energy technologies. His research focusses on multiferroics, magnetoelectric composites, hydroelectric cells, and nanostructured semiconductors, particularly ZnO-based nanomaterials and transition-metal oxides for energy harvesting and optoelectronic applications. He has led and collaborated on several funded projects, including CSIR-EMR and University of Delhi Innovation grants, and holds a granted patent on La0.67Ca0.33MnO3-based hydroelectric cell technology. Dr. Subramanian has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to edited volumes in materials science and renewable energy. He serves as an Editor for Scientific Reports and has guest edited for the Journal of Electronic Materials. His work integrates experimental synthesis, device prototyping, computational modelling, and sustainability-driven materials design.
Dr. Amit K. Vishwakarma
Dr. Amit Kumar Vishwakarma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, University of Delhi. With over 13 years of academic experience, his primary research interests lie in the development of nano-phosphors, glasses, and glass-ceramic materials for optoelectronic and solid-state lighting applications. Dr. Vishwakarma earned his Ph.D. from Delhi Technological University, where his research focussed on rare earth doped niobate phosphors. A prolific researcher, he has authored 17 peer-reviewed, Scopus-indexed publications in high-impact journals such as Dalton Transactions and the Journal of Alloys and Compounds. His scholarly work has earned him more than 950 citations and multiple “Commendable Research Awards”. Beyond teaching and research, he has served as the Organizing Secretary for several international conferences and has successfully managed research projects funded by AICTE and the University of Delhi. He is a life member of the Materials Research Society of India and the Luminescence Society of India.
Dr. Abid Hussain
Dr. Abid Hussain has completed his Ph.D. from Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi in 2020. His areas of research are synthesis and characterisations of Piezoelectric and Ferroelectric Materials, Nano-materials, Crystal Growth, etc. He has published more than 20 research papers in high impact journals. He has also presented his research work in around 10 national/international conferences. He has been an active member of organizing committees of various national/international conferences. Presently, he is teaching as an Assistant Professor in Department of Physics, ARSD College, University of Delhi.
Prof. Vinita Tuli
Prof. Vinita Tuli is a distinguished academic serving as Vice Principal and Professor of Physics at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma (ARSD) College, University of Delhi. With an illustrious career spanning over 25 years, her expertise lies in advanced functional materials and their applications. A prolifically published researcher, Prof. Tuli has authored over 15 international papers and edited two books on functional materials and devices. She has successfully executed sponsored research projects funded by agencies such as DBT and the University of Delhi. As a key organizer of international academic discourse, she has convened major conferences like Recent Advances in Functional Materials (RAFM), with proceedings published by Springer and Elsevier. Currently serving as the IQAC Coordinator and Coordinator of the DBT Star College Scheme, she is also credited with establishing the Experimental Research Laboratory at ARSD College, where she actively mentors undergraduate research and innovation.
Prof. Monika Tomar
Prof. Monika Tomar is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Physics at Miranda House, University of Delhi, and a former Fellow of the Institute of Eminence, University of Delhi. Renowned for her excellence in research and teaching, she has made significant contributions to materials science, thin films, and device-based experimental physics. She has led over 24 major research projects, with three ongoing government-funded projects, and has published more than 450 papers in reputed international journals. Her inventive capacity is further demonstrated by a strong patent portfolio, including a granted U.S. patent, three patents granted in India, 10 patents published in India, and three patents currently under application. Prof. Tomar established the internationally acclaimed Smart Materials and Devices Laboratory at Miranda House, fostering advanced research and innovation. She has guided numerous Ph.D. scholars and actively collaborates with national laboratories and industry, contributing to technologies used in space and optoelectronic devices. A Senior Member of IEEE and recipient of the Excellence Award for Teacher in Service, she continues to inspire through leadership, scholarship, and mentorship.
