This book entails contents of International Conference on Advanced Sustainability Engineering and Technology (ICASET 2026), which is a complete compilation of current research covering various fields of engineering and technologies. The presented book is the part of the Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems Book Series, which represents a collection of novel methods of solving the current challenges within the perspective of sustainability and technological growth.
The foregoing stages are grouped in four major thematic blocks, starting with Communication, Networking, and Broadcast Technology, which encompasses semantic-sensitive video compression via transformers and the impact of online opinion inductors to online participation. The Computing, Processing, and Signal Analysis section provides comparisons of the AI-written and human-written texts, application of deep learning in the optimization of steam distillation systems, and enhanced eye disease prediction with parallel acquisition approaches to feature extraction.
A significant emphasis is put on Data Science and Cybersecurity as they refer to such topical issues as the development of web vulnerability detection solutions based on manual and machine learning to automate the whole process, the issues of cybersecurity still being present in the publicly open environments, and the investigation of the problems of the intrusion detection systems with the help of deep learning. The opportunities of artificial intelligence and its relation to governance are also reviewed in this section where the ways of how AI could improve performance within transformation in the public sector are discussed.
The last part concerns Advanced Technologies and Applications where the practice of research conclusions is possible in a broad range of industries.
The authors are well distributed geographically especially around Moroccan Institutions which underlines the international character in sustainability engineering research and international collaboration as a core theme of the conference.
Prof. Dr. Chakib El Mokhi is Associate Professor of electrical engineering, renewable energy, and computer science at Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra, Morocco. He studied electrical and information engineering in Germany and worked for several years in the automotive industry. His research focuses on the optimization of energy production and energy efficiency using metaheuristic optimization algorithms. He is also interested in big data, artificial intelligence, and decision-oriented informatics. He is General Chair of the International Conference on Advanced Sustainability Engineering and Technology (ICASET) and serves as Co-Editor of the International Journal on Optimization and Applications (IJOA). He is actively involved in academic event organization as Member of the organizing committees of the International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA) and the international innovation competition Let's Challenge. He has reviewed numerous academic research articles for MDPI, Springer Nature, and several books for CRC Press.
Prof. Dr. Hanaa Hachimi received a Ph.D. in applied mathematics and computer science from the Mohammadia Engineering School, Med V University of Rabat, Morocco, in 2013, and a Ph.D. in mechanics and system reliability from the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Rouen, France, in 2013. She holds a master's degree in mathematical analysis and information processing and a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, both from the Faculty of Sciences, Ibn Tofail University of Kenitra, Morocco, in 2009 and 2007, respectively.
