The book discusses latest developments in the fields of intelligent machines. It contains original research works presented at Congress on Intelligent Machines and Algorithms (CIMA 2025), held at NIT Puducherry, India during October 2025. The book is divided into two volumes, and it covers papers written by scientists, research scholars, and practitioners from leading universities in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and deep learning, computer vision and pattern recognition, internet of things (IoT) and edge computing, robotics and autonomous systems, cybersecurity and blockchain.
Dr. Mukesh Saraswat is an Professor at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, India. Dr. Saraswat has obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from ABV-IIITM Gwalior, India. He has more than 19 years of teaching and research experience. He has guided 02 PhD students, more than 50 M. Tech. and B.Tech. dissertations, and presently guiding 05 Ph.D. students. He has published more than 55 journal and conference papers in the area of image processing, pattern recognition, data mining, and soft computing. He was the part of successfully completed DRDE funded project on image analysis and currently running two projects funded by SERB-DST (New Delhi) on Histopathological Image Analysis and Collaborative Research Scheme (CRS), Under TEQIP III (RTU-ATU) on Smile. He has been an active member of many organizing committees of various conferences and workshops. He is also a guest editor of the Array, journal of Swarm Intelligence, and Journal of Intelligent Engineering Informatics. He is an active member of IEEE, ACM, CSI Professional Bodies. His research areas include Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Mining, and Soft Computing.
Dr. Malaya Kumar Nath completed B. E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from BPUT Odisha, India, and M. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (Signal Processing) from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. He completed his Ph.D. on Signal Processing from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He joined the National Institute of Technology Puducherry, Karaikal in July 2013, where he currently holds an Assistant Professor position in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Besides teaching, he has been assigned academic responsibilities such as: department academic coordinator, M.Tech. project coordinator, BoS member, etc. He was seconded to the Asian Institute of Technology Bangkok, Thailand, by the president of India for teaching Error Control Coding in 2018 for one semester. His area of research includes machine learning and biomedical image processing. He has published 27 articles in reputable SCI journals and 25 papers in renowned conferences. According to Google Scholar, his publications have been cited approximately 1323 times with an h-index of 21. He is an Associate Editor of the Multimedia Tools and Applications journal (Springer). He has supervised four Ph.D. and Five M. Tech scholars in signal processing. He has completed two funded projects. He successfully organized many conferences and workshops (a few of them are AICTE ATAL FDP in 2024, SERB Sponsored Karyashala (May 2024) & Symposia (May 2024), AICTE ATAL FDP in 2021, GIAN Program in 2022, Digital India in 2015, etc.).
Professor Dr. Touhid Bhuiyan is a seasoned academic and researcher, currently serving as a Professor at the School of Information Technology, Washington University of Science and Technology, Alexandria, United States. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Queensland University of Technology, Australia, an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the American University in London, UK, and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computing and Information Systems from the University of London, UK. With over 27 years of international experience in academia and industry across the USA, Australia, and Bangladesh, Dr. Bhuiyan has contributed extensively to the domains of Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Databases. Before joining WUST, Dr. Bhuiyan served in various key academic roles at Daffodil International University, Bangladesh, including as the Head of the Software Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering departments. His research focuses on emerging technologies such as Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Trust Management, and Health Informatics. He has published numerous research papers in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences, and actively participates in global academic collaborations.
