Harnessing AI for Creativity and Innovation in Business

Roni Reiter-Palmon | Rebecca Marrone

Social Science / General

This book examines the interconnectedness of AI, creativity and innovation in contemporary organisations, bridging the gap between advanced AI technologies and the realities of modern business practice. It offers a comprehensive and research grounded analysis of how AI is reshaping creative work, organisational change, and strategic decision making, providing essential insights for academics, business leaders and practitioners navigating rapid technological transformation.

Drawing on expertise from technology strategists, AI scholars and organisational psychologists, the volume explores both the opportunities and risks of AI enabled creativity. Chapters address foundational questions about the nature of human and artificial creativity, the leadership capabilities required for AI adoption, the sociotechnical redesign of work, the ethical and cultural implications of AI systems, and the future of human AI collaboration. The book highlights how AI can support innovation while also revealing where it may reproduce bias, undermine wellbeing or obscure invisible forms of creative labour. By integrating conceptual frameworks with real world cases and practical guidance, the book equips readers to integrate AI into organisational strategy in effective and ethical ways. It is a valuable resource for researchers, students and professionals in organisational psychology, technology and innovation management, human resource development, leadership studies and information systems who seek to understand how AI is transforming creative work and organisational life.
