The errors in that case cumulate. That part of modelmaking abbreviations from reality to screen is still enigmatic. The source of all values is the Earth. We visualize it in XY two-dimensional space. Our book is devoted to Clarification and broadening understanding of that problem. The more accurate our model is, the better should be the precision of our extraction and maintaining of values.

A value-model in an abstract form we call an Ethical model. That’s why the entire subject is called also Value Panopticum, as it observes Value from various points of view: philosophical, verbal, logical, physical, mathematical and monetary aspects.

The more sophisticated model’s men use, the more progressive and successful human civilisation will be. Humans should learn to extract better the values of earth, and they have to maintain these values.

Casper Krebbers graduated in 1981 at the Faculty of Architecture of TU Delft on an urban design for a large construction site near The Hague. After graduating, he started working for 4 days a week at the Housing Programming Office of the Province of South Holland. His position was, after 30 years, senior advisor. The fifth day in the week he continued to work at the Faculty of Architecture in the old trusted OPM environment as a teacher. He built a computer system at the Residential Building Programming office to monitor the progress of housing planning and Design and Planning Methodology group construction. When a new urban development plan came in, the plan was read into a geodetic program, so that we knew the area. After that, all standards related to the type of the construction project (from a small village to a construction plan in the centre of a large city) were optimized. The result was that Casper’s boss had more information about the construction plan than the employees of the municipality through the reports from the monitor. Everything continued to go well until 2002. In this year things were changed, and everything was privatized and sold.

Petar Stojanović got interested in LP, because it was claimed that it can solve only linear problems of optimization, so he tried to develop a method to approach higher power problems (higher than square) with the help of the LP approach. He was, therefore, grateful for his knowledge of mathematics to Prof. Ernest Stipanić Ph.D. M.Sc., Prof Milica Dajović Ph.D. M.Sc. and special thanks to Colonel Jovan Mandić Ph.D. M.Sc. resistance of materials. Petar completed his Civil Engineering study in, 1986 at the University of Belgrade. His last position in former Yugoslavia was leading engineer for real estate (infrastructure and airplanes) and investment at the national air carrier JAT (YU). He was visiting lecturer on the Faculty of Transportation of the University of Belgrade. He became a member of the OPM-group in 1995. Peter Paul van Loon asked him to set up a lecture over ethics, technical models, and engineering. These lectures became popular, and students always applauded at the end.

Publication Date:

07 September 2026

Publisher:

Springer Nature Switzerland

Imprint:

Springer

ISBN-13:

9783032338235

Format:

Hardback

Page Count:

280
