This book aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest theoretical frameworks and practical applications in this critical area. Earthquakes, one of nature’s most destructive forces, continue to pose a significant threat to human life and property. While significant strides have been made in earthquake engineering and disaster management, the ability to accurately predict earthquakes remains an elusive goal. The study of seismic precursors—the observable phenomena preceding earthquakes—has made significant developments in recent years. The recent advancements in seismology and allied fields have opened new avenues for diagnosing seismic precursors. With the increasing need for accurate earthquake prediction to mitigate disaster risks, this book serves as an essential resource for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.
