Community health nursing plays a vital role in enhancing population well-being, particularly in regions where healthcare systems face unique challenges and opportunities. Across the Middle East, it is shaped by shared cultural values, strong family networks, and evolving healthcare systems that balance traditional practices with modern medicine. Understanding these regional dynamics provides essential context for exploring national health priorities and community-based interventions.

Building on this foundation, this book explores the cultural, social, and economic factors that influence healthcare practices and outcomes, offering insight into strategies used to address public health concerns in the region. It highlights how community health nurses (CHNs) navigate these dynamics through culturally competent practices that integrate local customs and beliefs, ensuring care that is both effective and respectful. It addresses key health issues in Saudi communities, including chronic disease management, maternal and child health, and communicable disease prevention.

This book also underscores how community health nursing aligns with Saudi Vision 2030’s preventive care goals, reflecting the national shift toward health promotion and disease prevention.

By linking theory to practice and emphasizing measurable impacts within the Saudi healthcare system, it appeals to regional and international audiences seeking to understand how global nursing principles are adapted to local contexts. It serves as an essential resource for healthcare professionals, international nursing educators/researchers studying Middle Eastern health systems, students, policymakers in Gulf countries adapting Vision 2030-like reforms, and global public health professionals interested in cultural adaptations of community nursing.

Dr. Rnda I.
