Dr. Nitesh Dhiman is an Assistant Professor in the School of Natural Sciences at GNA University, Punjab, India. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), with research conducted at CSIR–Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (CSIR-IITR), Lucknow. Her doctoral work focused on the design and synthesis of advanced hybrid nanomaterials for water decontamination. She has also done M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Dr. Dhiman specializes in inorganic, analytical, and polymer chemistry, with a strong research emphasis on nanomaterials, environmental remediation, and sustainable technologies. She has published 18 research articles in reputed international journals, one design patent, and contributed 5 book chapters with leading publishers such as Springer Nature and Elsevier. Her research work has received significant academic recognition, reflected by an h-index of 16 and over 1500 citations.
She has extensive teaching experience in core chemistry subjects and has actively contributed to academic administration, including serving as a convener of an international conference and supervising postgraduate research projects. Dr. Dhiman is a recipient of prestigious fellowships including CSIR-JRF and SRF, and an international travel grant from the Society of Toxicology (USA). Her research interests include nanomaterial synthesis, wastewater treatment, smart materials, and interdisciplinary applications of chemistry in environmental sustainability.
Dr. Arun Lal Srivastav is working as Associate Professor at School of Engineering and Technology, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, India. He received PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi. He has also done post-doctoral research at National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan. He is currently involved in the teaching of Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Disaster Management and Design Thinking to the undergraduate engineering students. His research interests include water quality surveillance, climate change, water treatment, river ecosystem, soil health maintenance, engineering education, phytoremediation and waste management. Under his supervision, 3 PhD degrees have been awarded. He has published >140 research papers in various prestigious journals (Elsevier, Springer, IWA, Taylor & Francis etc.) including books, book chapters and conference publications. He has edited many books with Elsevier, Springer, NOVA, IGI global and Wiley. Additionally, he is also one of the series editors of Elsevier and Nova publisher on energy sustainability and e-waste management, respectively. He is also working on 04 Government sponsored projects (worth ~16 million INR) on phytoremediation, adsorption, capacity building, organic farming, leachate treatment, agro-waste management etc. He received the prestigious "Teachers Associateship for Research Excellence (TARE) Fellowship" followed by a research grant from the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India in 2022. He has also filed 31 patents on multidisciplinary topics and 15 out of which have been granted by the Government of India. He has also been recognized among the 2% worldwide scientists of Earth and Environmental Sciences jointly by Stanford University and Elsevier in the year 2023, 2024 and 2025. Recently, his name has been included in top 0.5% scholars of the year 2024 by Scholar GPS in Environmental Sciences.
