Queer Mother Memoir: Experiments in Life/Narrative curates an archive of memoirs, published 1997 to the present, in order to define and complicate “queer mother memoir” as an emergent literary genre. Through careful readings of life narratives, including her own, Silbergleid offers these radical autotheoretical texts as a challenge to scholarship that has yet to critically examine, much less embrace, queer motherhood.

Robin Silbergleid is Professor of English at Michigan State University. She is the author of multiple books, including the memoir Texas Girl and the poetry collection The Baby Book, as well as co-editor of Reading and Writing Experimental Texts: Critical Innovations and Infertilities, A Curation.
