The book presents different perspectives and methodological approaches related to the development of gender equality plans and gender budgeting ranging from empirical legal studies to doctrinal contributions, national or field specific case studies to historical and comparative assessments, domestic as well as international perspectives, conceptual as well as practical considerations.

Branko Radulovic is a full professor of Economics and Economic Analysis of Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade. He studied at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade and holds a master's degree in Economics from the University of Birmingham and a PhD in Institutions, Economics and Law from College Carlo Alberto, University of Turin. He was also a visiting scholar at the Cornell Law School. Branko teaches Economics for Lawyers, Accounting for Lawyers, Economics of EU integration and Economic Analysis of Law. His professional interests include the economic analysis of law, public policy analysis, and applied econometrics. For many years he has been engaged as a World Bank and other international financial organisations expert. He has authored several articles related to the pubic policy and gender mainstreaming.  He is currently engaged in Building Gender Equality Through Gender Budgeting for Institutional Transformation (BUDGET-IT) Horizon supported project designed to use gender+ budgeting to transform institutions to advance inclusive gender+ equality and enhance the reputation, inclusiveness, and research excellence of the widening countries of Bosnia, Serbia and Turkey assisted by leading university counterparts in Italy and Spain. He is also a lecturer in several summer schools in the field of Public Policy and Gender mainstreaming and will be a lecturer in forthcoming master program on Gender and Law (University of Belgrade).
