Volume 3: Techniques and Innovations

Gulden Diniz

Medical / Pathology

This is the third of three volumes in the series All Dimensions of Pathology, dedicated to the practical methodologies and emerging technologies that shape modern diagnostic pathology. The accompanying volumes address fundamental concepts and clinical disease entities, forming together a comprehensive reference for the discipline.

Techniques and Innovations in Pathology presents the technical foundations of diagnostic work, including tissue processing, autopsy practice, histochemical and immunohistochemical methods, cytopathology, interventional biopsies, and specialized organ biopsies. The volume further explores molecular pathology techniques such as PCR, in-situ hybridization, and sequencing technologies.

In addition to established laboratory methods, the book highlights rapidly evolving areas including artificial intelligence applications, translational research models, digital pathology, and scientific publication practices. By connecting traditional diagnostic skills with technological innovation, this volume reflects the transformation of pathology into a data-driven and precision-oriented field.

Designed for residents, specialists, and researchers, this volume provides both practical guidance and a forward-looking perspective on the future of pathology.
