This book provides a thorough examination of African society from a sociological standpoint. While previous works have addressed specific themes, such as urban life, education, gender, and globalization, this book encompasses the full range of sociological inquiry related to Africa. Topics include theory, methodology, culture, ethnicity, social relations, stratification, media, health, religion, education, and modernization, among others.
Drawing on established scholarship and original analysis, the book provides a structured framework for understanding the development, structure, and functioning of African societies. Therefore, it will appeal to scholars, students, and researchers seeking to engage deeply with African contexts and contribute to a more inclusive global sociology.
