Radicalism in the Global South

Inequality, Identity and Resistance

Erdal Bayar | Huriye Yıldırım Çinar

Political Science / General

The primary aim of this book is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the intricate relationship between development challenges and the rise of radicalism in the Global South. By exploring the historical, political, and socio-economic contexts that shape these dynamics, the book seeks to uncover the underlying causes that fuel radical ideologies and movements in regions often marginalized in global discourse. At its core, the book aspires to challenge conventional security-focused narratives by emphasizing the structural inequities and governance failures that create fertile ground for radicalism.
