Although the environment has long been recognized as a key factor for human health, the linkages between infectious diseases and urban environments are not well known. Consideration of infectious disease prevention and control in contemporary urban planning has largely been neglected. The proposed book discusses in a multidisciplinary manner the role of urban living environments and prevention of infectious disease epidemic and thus, pandemic outbreaks in history and presently, in the post-Covid era.
